Bison, bighorn sheep, bull elk and a white wolf, all photographed from far enough away that the animal never stopped doing what it was doing.

The photograph is the last few seconds of a long wait. Everything before it is fieldcraft, which mostly means reading the ground, keeping still and letting the animal decide how close the frame gets.
